Subject: [B-Greek] Antonym of CAIREIN
Dear All,
What is the antonym of CAIREIN (to enjoy) in Koine and Attic? The word
CAIREIN suggests that there is pleasure or pleasantness involved. Is there
an antonym of this word which suggests that pain is involved? Thanks so
much.
BTW, I just looked up Merriam Webster to see what the antonym of "enjoy" is,
and was surprised because "lack" and "want" are listed as the antonyms.
pax et bonum,
Emil Salim
