I think first of all of ἀθυμῶ AQUMW {AQUMEW).

I suspect that looking for a single word is somewhat risky.
Then it occurs to me that this is where Louw & Nida are most helpful.
I'd suggest that you look at §§25.116-134 Happy, Glad, Joyful and
§§25.223–25.250 Worry, Anxiety, Distress, Peace. You'll find a whole
range and variety of verbs, nouns, and adjectives in both groups of 
categories.
