        Hi Francisco
As I said, Num5:30 is only a suggestion. In James' previous
quotes from the Torah we find more verbatim reference:

KATA THN GRAFHN : "AGAPHSEIS TON PLHSION SOU..(Levi19:18/James2:8)
hO GAR EIPWN : "MH MOICEUSHiS" (Ex 2O:14/James2:11)
EIPEN KAI: "MH FONEUSHiS" (Ex 20:13)

        and

EPLHRWQH hH GRAFH hH LEGOUSA : "EPISTEUSEN DE ABRAAM TWi QEWi
KAI ELOGISQH AUTWi EIS DIKAIOSUNHN" (Gen15:6/James 2:23) KAI
        FILOS QEOU EKLHQH (Is41:8)

        The above suggests to me
        (1) James didn't use LXX when quoting from the Torah (as
            opposed to Proverbs?)
        (2) The compounding of two quotes in James 2:23 might mean
the quote in 4:5 is compounded?

On the other matter; James' use of PROS seems to me to be akin
to 1Co15:34 PROS ENTROPHN hUMIN LALW, or even in some MSS for
James 3:3 which have PROS instead of EIS. (Is NA27 right here?)

        Best regards
        Steven
