Those not subscribed to Synoptic-L might be interested to hear that the list
has recently been renewed to encourage the academic discussion of all
matters relating to the exegesis of Matthew, Mark and / or Luke. It was felt
that its previous special "focus" on the Synoptic Problem tended to narrow the
discussion too much, sometimes compromising the academic quality of
contributions.
This move coincides with another decision to make Synoptic-L a more strictly
moderated group. It has moved to a "closed" subscription policy and has
implemented a subscriber-only post system.
It is hoped that these developments will help take Synoptic-L from strength to
strength. If you are interested in the exegesis of the Synoptic Gospels, you
are warmly invited to apply for subscription. Full details are available at:
