There are probably a 100 titles on this topic, here are two:

Nida, Eugene Albert, 1914. The theory and practice of translation.
Leiden, E. J. Brill. 1969.

Many other books by E.A. Nida.

Glassman, Eugene H. The translation debate: what makes a Bible
translation good?. Downers Grove, Ill.: InterVarsity Press. 1981.
