Reclaiming His Interrupted Life

In the words of Alex Kershaw in The Longest Winter (Da Capo Press, 2004, page 257), Ralph reclaimed his interrupted life.

Ralph used the GI Bill to obtain a civil engineering degree from Michigan State University, East Lansing. He worked at Commonwealth Associates/Gilbert Commonwealth for over 30 years in the power plant design division as a structural civil engineer on plants including this one.
