Presented by the residents of Neuilly-la-Forêt in eternal friendship.

474th Association of the Combat Group, 9th Air Force, U.S.A.

The 474th Group, IX Tactical Air Command, Ninth Air Force was based in Moreton, Essex and during the Normandy Campaign  flew P-38 pictured on the plaque. The plane has British Royal
Air Force (circle) instead of American (star) markings.

Lower plaque from  the residents of  Neuilly-la-Forêt, Normandy in honor of the 38th Signal Battalion.

The 38th Signal Battalion was stationed there from July 20 to August 4, 1944.
