The Linux Aviation HOWTO is intended to provide pointers to software packages that run under the Linux operating system and are useful to private, commercial, or military pilots. The ultimate goal is to enable pilots to use the Linux operating system for all their aviation related computing needs. I want to encourage pilots who are already using Linux to contribute to this document, either by providing pointers to existing software, or by writing new applications for Linux.
The Aviation HOWTO was written in Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) format. SGML documents are translatable into popular formats such as standard HTML as well as LaTeX (and dvi, postscript from there). You can browse the online HTML version, or download a formatted version below.
The latest version is 1.4, and was released on 14 Oct, 2000.
