Olav Tryggvason (Minelayer, 1934-1940).

Olav Tryggvason, a 1924-ton minelayer, was built at Horton, Norway. Launched in 1932 and completed in 1934, she served as a cadet training ship and minelayer. Captured during the German invasion in April 1940, she was employed by the German Navy under the names Albatros (1940-41) and Brummer (1941-45) during the rest of World War II. She was scuttled at Kiel, Germany, in May 1945 after being badly damaged by bombs.

This page features views of Olav Tryggvason while serving as the German Brummer.
