Content/Overall Organization
General Suggestions/Comments:
- It was very easy to navigate through this module as it is broken off in
to a few main categories listed on the side navigation bar.
- There is still a problem with displaying new terms. Using a color for
this text which is not a color used much in the module is an excellent way
to draw attention to important terms. However, if this idea is to be used,
it should be constant throughout the module. Perhaps each of the words could
be a link to the corresponding definition in the glossary. Also,
it would be a good idea to state in one of the introductory pages that certain
terms are a specific color, and exactly what that means. Also, there are
a few other web sites where red text is used. If there is any text which
is important it should be a different color than the text of the glossary/new
terms.
- In regards to the buttons at the top of the site, they have the potential
to provide good interactivity. It would be nice to see them used more often.
For instance, on the example pages, a collaborate link should be
included, and on analytical pages, an application link should be
included.
Page-Specific Suggestions:
- Module Home:I was very impressed
with the way the idea of constraints was introduced.
- Optimal Production: Graphical Investigation:
Excellent graph.
- Movie1: Why not include buttons for
the other movies? If they are supposed to be in some order, suggest that
on the page. The screen is very empty, and could use some comments or graphics.
If there is no other information that would be useful to put on this page
besides the button, perhaps it should be a part of another page.
Use of Alternate Media
- Module Home: This page could still use some
sort of graphics or animation to distinguish it from other modules. The
first page is key when it comes to attracting the user.
- Each of the optimization main pages should contain graphics or animation
to differ each from the others.

Graphics Notes
- There are numerous places where graphics could be inserted in this module.
Compared to other modules, there are many more Java applets, but fewer graphics.
