Previous: Question 3
Summary
You should now have a feel for what types of scenarios can be modeled
by the functions we consider
(impulse,
step, and
sinusoidal). In summary,
remember:
- Impulse functions: Quickly dumping a finite amount
of a contaminant (or flushing a contaminant already present)
- Step functions: The additions of a contaminant at a
steady rate for a long period of time.
- Sinusoidal functions: Cyclic addition of contaminant.
