Sinusoidal Input Function

This routine solves for a differential equation with a sinusoidal input, and no reaction term (i.e., k=0). It runs on the assumption that the input function will be of the form tex2html_wrap_inline5. Thus you may have to do some algebraic manipulation before you can enter data and get solutions.

Note that you can solve for C(t), given the initial values of a problem, or you can simply solve for the steady-state (i.e., independent of initial conditions) solution, Cs(t).

Typically, we are interested in the steady-state behavior of a system, but we may for instance want to know at what point in time a system approaches its steady-state solution. Thus the full initial value problem, which does take the transient solution into account, is still of value to us.
