Modeling Fumes in a Room

The fumes from paint in a recently painted room can be analyzed in the same manner as one might analyze a contaminated lake. For instance, volatile compounds will enter or be generated from the paint surface and exit via the ventilation system. The model is further complicated by the fact that the properties will change as the paint dries, but that's nothing a mass balance can't handle.
