Re: [nafex] paw paws, critter proof?

In my mere six years of Paw Paw growing here in 7A North Carolina, the
trees seem to survive the minor munching by Zebra Swallowtail caterpillars,
a small beetle that eats small holes in the leaves, and a wayward twig
girdler that only attacks one or two small twigs per tree per year. But
the deer ARE a problem because the bucks don't hesitate to scrape the
trunks them with their antlers. Whatever is in the twigs isn't strong
enough to keep the deer away, but the trees will outgrow the deer
eventually.
