[nafex] pear grafts..

Just a quick report. Just checked on a bunch of 2 year old pear bench grafts.. all of the flemish beauty seem to be doing fine, none of the maxine
took. when is the best time to try to graft other scionwood on the failed grafts, the rootstock is all still pretty small, less than 1/2" ...
anyone recommend some eating pear varieties hard core zone 4... there is what everyone calls a "bartlett " growing on a nearby property, must be
well over 50 years old, bears decent fruit every other year. maybe that is a good choice? mIEKAL
