RE: [compost_tea] Purchase of a tea brewer - need more puddin' in the proof

The “hay bale approach” ?  What do you mean by it?

Yes, I considered the 5gal brewer and applying in sections.  Just seemed too small for what I need and that I’d be driving my fields more than necessary, and the next size up was overkill.  I narrowed down to looking at Bob’s machine.

I haven’t found prices either, for when I have to purchase compost for brewing (should I not be able to use my own -ouch).  Are there price lists for these available?

Why do you need a large size tea maker?  Wouldn't the 5 gal do?

Make tea once a week, apply to the section of pasture that needs the tea.  Use the hay bale approach.

Tea does allow nutrients, but you need to do this as supplement in form of fish hydrolysate or other organic fertilizer additions.  The biology then makes sure all those nutrients stay, and work for you over and over instead of being lost from the soil.
