Here's
is a system that is working very well for a winery in Paso Robles.
55
gallon plastic drum.
25 ft
of soaker hose
Large
air compressor - like from sears
Shade
cloth bag on a hoop that sits on top of the drum and allows the compost to sit
more or less in the center of the drum
Fittings to connect the soaker hose to the compressor while the soaker
hose is in the bottom of the drum.
A
valve on the air line.
A way
to get the tea out of the drum (sump pump?)
Place
compost in bag and place bag in drum
Fill
drum
Open
valve to compressor - you should get a rolling boil of air at the
surface.
Add
some nutrients (Organic Gem?, Humax?, ???)
Wait
12 to 24 hours
