Re: [compost_tea] AACT, ACT, anaerobic T, plant teas, manure tea
Actively aerated compost is aerated to make sure the liquid does not become anaeorbic, even if foods are added into the brew
Aerated compost tea may not be aerated more than by just a stir or two. Highly variable results have been documented. Sometimes it is beneficial, sometimes not. I've killed a plant or more when using teas we just stirred.
Anaerobic tea can have toxins that could, or might not, cause problems. Lots more to do to document repeatability of the product.
plant tea - no compost involved here. If plant material is used, like horsetail tea, then that's what that is. But not compost tea. May be aerobic, may be anaerobic. Lots of research to do here too.
manure tea - again, no compost. Not a compost tea. Contains human pathogens to start out with, may or may not be out competed, consumed during aerobic or anaerobic tea production.
OK?
