Comfrey Tea is one of those nutty biodynamic creations I believe.
You only want to add sugars to a compost tea if you are working to intentio=
nally propagate fungus.
Bacteria specific to your sugars will out compete the bacteria of your comp=
ost.
I'm curious but wary of the biodynamics and the actual facts of that stuff.

I am not clear what you are describing when you talk about
making compost tea from comfrey.

Are you talking about soaking freshly cut comfrey in water and
perhaps aerating the water? That, while it may have some nutrient benefit,=

wouldn't be compost tea.

It wouldn't be compost tea if you used comfrey alone, even if
the comfrey is dried.

Compost tea comes only from brewing well constructed compost
in water with aeration. Of course, if you have well made compost and one of=
 its
components was comfrey, then that's fine. And I suppose one could make comp=
ost
using just comfrey but I doubt such sole-ingredient compost would be very
balanced and therefore not produce well made compost.

None of this is to say that comfrey doesn't have any value. I
have heard, though not tried personally yet, that cutting fresh comfrey and=

laying it down as a mulch works well in some applications, particularly aro=
und
fruit trees.

If this doesn't address your question, please repost with
clarification.
