RE: [compost_tea] Spraying in a small field
Per Dr. Elaine's direction have used a commercial backpack sprayer for appl=
ications of tea and found the microscope tests at the nozzle end showed som=
e modest decline in numbers but a super tea will work through this type spr=
ayer.

Subject: [compost_tea] Spraying in a small field
Hi again,
Just thought I would start another thread for a different subject: I have a=
small field - about 1/5th an acre - that I need to spray some tea on. I do=
n't believe there is any hose access out there.
Just wondering: Should I use a backpack sprayer? Or a hand pump sprayer? I =
read on Tim Wilson's site that the hand sprayers seemed to decimate the fun=
gi so I am feeling cautious about using that method. I guess it would have =
been the find mist that they emit that would have done the damage??????????=
?
Also, Jeff Lowenfels talks about using a concrete sprayer as another option=
. Has anyone actually done this and is it effective?
Cheers (again),
Kathleen Millar
