Kathleen,

Tim's reference is to the little handheld sprayers that you would use to mi=
st
orchids or spray your cats if they were on the kitchen table. They only ho=
ld a
few cups of liquid and have a trigger that you pull back with an adjustable=

nozzle. Pump sprayers that are larger (1 gal or more) are completely diffe=
rent.

Subject: [compost_tea] Spraying in a small field

Hi again,
Just thought I would start another thread for a different subject: I have =
a
small field - about 1/5th an acre - that I need to spray some tea on. I do=
n't
believe there is any hose access out there.

Just wondering: Should I use a backpack sprayer? Or a hand pump sprayer? =
 I
read on Tim Wilson's site that the hand sprayers seemed to decimate the fun=
gi so
I am feeling cautious about using that method. I guess it would have been =
the
find mist that they emit that would have done the damage???????????
Also, Jeff Lowenfels talks about using a concrete sprayer as another option=
.
Has anyone actually done this and is it effective?
Cheers (again),
Kathleen Millar
