[compost_tea] Re: Proper terminology
Ectomycorrhizal fungi would be bogus for wheat and hemp as they don't form =
associations with them. Those crops need endomycorrhizal fungi. Is there so=
me problem with the Quebec supplier. Why not use them.
The endomycorrhizal fungi - arbuscular MF - are a pretty small group - only=
about 200 species all closely related. They form associations with most cr=
ops and are generalists - that is any of the 200 species of AMF can form my=
corrhizae with any of the plants that might benefit - all 300,000 species.=

is soluble Mycorrhizal fungi has been tested by many prairie wheat and hemp=
farmers and they have reported to me it is bogus with a capital B. There a=
re a few suppliers of endomycorrhizal fungal spores who claim to grow them =
when they actually import them from Premier in Quebec and some other source=
s in Europe. Always check for truth. When I ask them if they grow them them=
selves they never answer.
