EM or Effective microbes is the work of Dr. Higa From Japan. He runs the Co=
mpany Terraganix which you can buy EM-1 Which is the mother culture. From t=
here you can brew extensions. The uses of EM are varied and huge. Vinny Pi=
nto has a many websites and yahoo groups soley for the pourpose exploring t=
he uses of EM.

ot of his work and an explanation on what EM is and how to brew. His other =
web sites he gets into the ORMUS and more metaphysical properties of EM. EM=
is a really interesting topic, I just read an article that a organic farm =
in the fallout area of the nuclear disaster in Japan, that use EM has ZERO=
Radiation detected from the fields and its produce. Effective Microbes are=

Currently I am using Effective Microbes for cleaning a brewer my brewer. I =
notice it cleans up bacterial slim nicely. My brewer is homemade so it has =
some gaps in the PVC, great places for Anaerobes to grow. I have found that=
running 2oz of EM per gal and run for a few hours and everything is squeak=
y clean with little brushing. What does everyone else think?
