Elaine I think I covered most of this in my brix reply - detrimental was a
poor choice of words - how about nutritionally inappropriate at a particular
plant growth stage - that is a possibility - small I admit - but a
refractometer test will eliminate that possibility - on the other side of
the coin the plants are healthy from lots of tea but we still have some
disease and insect problems? maybe needs a little extra nutrition to kick
the tea along? tea or any good biological brew is a great base for a
nutritional foliar, and if you're not experienced at radionics then trial
mixes and refractometer testing will get this sorted too.
We have to make the best of every trip across the field - it would be
great to be able to spray everything once each week like the intensive horti
people do - but its just not on - and we couldnt afford it anyway - but isnt
it scary to think that most commercial fruit and vegetables get dosed with
pesticides at least as often as you would like us to spray tea!!
Cheers
Lloyd Charles
