I have two versions of those modified wise grips
But believe me folks nothing works better than a
good garlic presser. Choose a strong model.
I have broken several of those cheap types but
the stronger ones will do.
What you really need is one or two sap drops
to be able to measure plant brix.

-----
Pike Agri Labs has two different sizes of standard vise-grips (large,
small) to which they have welded small V-shaped plates between which
leaves and fruit can be squeezed for Brix testing. The sap/juice runs
down the valley of the "V" and onto the refractometer lens. The large
model generates plenty of pressure to extract sap from leaves/stems.

I couldn't find a picture of their web site, but there are pix in
their catalog. Order a catalog from http://www.pikeagri.com
