Hum, degrades the soil. I'm say that it builds the soil to a certain point,
but cannot do anything more than that level. And you need to keep building
the soil to make it healthy.

You need more than just the microaggregates that bacteria build. You need
macroaggregates that fungi, nematodes, microarthropods and earthworms build.


So, I would not say EM would precisely degrade the soil. There are clear
benefits to soil and your plants as those bacteria help build their part of
soil structure, and retain nutrients, and combat some disease organisms.
Just not going to get all the way to where you need to get.
