brewer I use is James Sotillos machine, all of my results and recipes
used are based on the 85 gallon machine. Our results are posted on
the sfi website under Woodbury Country Club.James has given us
permission to use his designs and produce the machine,(thanks James I
think). We currently have a 200 and 100 gal machine which we are
testing through the NY lab with Paul Wagner. My current plan is to
put only 6 of these machines out this year on golf courses, I think
it is very important that everyone of these courses is successful(all
6 machines are accounted for). Will sell to someone who has
experience with CT(contact James or Myself) but there is an
educational curve on golf turf that is why we are being selective
(want no horror stories).
Second, I have always tried to brew fungal teas for the turf and
think that having fungal compost is important. However the most
important factor is the foods you use, I have found bulking up on the
fungal foods does not guarantee fungal tea. I really cut back on the
bacterial foods somtimes eliminating them to get a good balanced tea.
It seems to me getting bacterial tea is easy and to much bacteria
really screws up your fungal numbers, Dr.E comment please?
Third patents patents patents. Brewed my first tea 6/19/91 using an
fmc 200 gal sprayer and a bag of sustane poultry manure fertilizer
using Eric Nelsons reccomendations from cornell.I was trying to
control summer patch decline on poa annua. Hasn't most of the
technology we are using in our brewers been used in sewage treatment
plants for years? Had a friend go through a patent suit with washed
sod, really turned into a fiasco and the patent was shot down. In the
brief life of commercial CT brewers I have already seen peoples
brewers stolen and used for other peoples gains. At least give credit
for the design you have RIPPED OFF!!! The unfortunate part is that
from my experience the CT is part of a system, People selling brewers
and still recommending chemical treatments and synthetic fertilizers
are not helping the cause and are just looking for the fast buck.To
many bottom feeders in CT right now, at least in the turf side. Sorry
for flipping out and the long post, but I really do believe in CT and
hope everyone is succesful with it.
