Thanks, Jeff for the description of your fungal colony.  A super microscope would be nice to play with!  Maybe I will put some in a bottle and send it to Elaine .  No I think they will take christmas off.  e ned to talk about AH as an addative to our compost for makeing super tea.  Pablum?  Used Pablum?  Cooked oatmeal or raw oatmeal?  What is more fun that playing scientist??  Have Great Holidays, Jeff.   Bob

Bob, I have no idea what it is and suspect it would be different for
different composts/humuses.  The one I am looking at has long, white threads
with "bridges" over soil particles and thick, thick growth at the edges of
the container. Very hairy. It sure is beautiful when it collects a bit of
moisture. I will try and get some pictures if I can find the darn camera.
