[compost_tea] Re: sharing the cost

Cost, you ask? It takes an hour to set everything up to get started ($50),
an hour to do the oxygen readings and computer work ($50), $240 for the
organism assays, and the plant trials would be an additional $100 per three
sets of plugs (control, control tea, humic acid tea). So, say $450 for
each control - product comparison.
Sounds like a great idea - I'm in too. May I suggest running the experiment
with 3 different humic acid products and the two controls ? we know there's
variance in the products so can you work with the ones most of us are using ?
Proposal for cost sharing :
if the project will cost $900 (adding extra test blocks) and we currently
have 216 subscribers who benefit from this list, let's assume half will not
contribute, US$10 each should cover the cost. Sending cheques is a hassle
and will deter some potential contributors so Elaine could someone from you
office set up a paypal account and we could ALL drop our $10 there
painlessly :-)
If this works for everyone, including SFI, I'd like to see saponyn, kelp
and few others done too.
