Re: [compost_tea] Why buy?

If the rationale for purchasing a Pre-built is "the testing has been done
for you already". What about the fact that there are so many different kinds
of compost. Say you have a brewer from a manufacturer who posted super
results from SFI. Then you brewed CT with it, would the lab test still be
the same? Probably not, unless you brewed in exactly the same conditions and
with the same ingredients.
If the brewer has been proven that is a known starting point.  If the TEA is less than needed you know what to adjust.  So
What is more important, Brewer or compost?
Both brewer and compost and NUTRIENTS, WATER AND TEMPS are esential to good TEA.
How many factors are there to consider when building a brewer?

I listed thm in a message about 3 - 4 days ago.  Many.  But most are somewhat forgiving so you can have good TEA without a perfect brewer or perfect other stuff.  Getting these many items close to balanced in a quantitative way takes many hours of careful testing and observation.

I guess I said it about right.  Even with all the unknowns and variation the results appear to be much superior to the best you can do with the much more easily measured chemical systems   I am expecting to ship your unit with drawings and recipes next week.  I hope the cold blast today did not damage your situation too much.   Strange.  We are way up nprth of you.  I am harvesting enough lettuce from the garden every day to keep us in salads. A wet 45 to 50 F most of the time here.   Bob
