Tom
  can you explain what you do to lower soil ph - if your ph is out of line
what is the mineral imbalance thats causing that to happen - either in the
soil or in irrigation water that you apply. Good soil microbial activity
will usually bring ph into line as long as soil chemistry basics are
reasonable. If you're irrigating saline soil with saline water - that has a
limited life span- tell us the chemistry!
