Some of us are using the Extech 407515, the model with a 13 foot
cable. With and added option of the Data Acquisition program and
cable a pc can log all activity by sampling every second or every 30
minutes or longer. Beater IBM pc can be had for little or nothing. I
have an ancient IBM that is useless for any other use and cost less
than 20 bucks, all it does is log DO.

Some aggressive shopping and the system can be had for
under $500USD
