Yep, they somehow just don't get it that biology isn't just like a chemical that you can just add, neutralize and add again on-demand.
Establishing the biology can take a bit of time. Diversity is important.
Knowing that you have the diversity needed is important to establish, if you have to have maximum yields. If you don't have to have max yields, then you can be more relaxed about knowing that you have the food web established. Take 6 months, a year to bring it up to speed in your yard, garden, etc.
Commercial growers need to know they have it right, ASAP. So, testing is a good idea.
But maybe not needed if you are a small scale grower and can walk the land and see what the plants are telling you. Use the plant response to give you information.
But so many commercial growers check their land while driving 60 mph on the freeway going by their 500 acres of fields. Hard to really see what the plants are doing. Having testing done may be the way to go there.
