Has this been defined previously on this board? I think I know more
about a sleeping bear than a microbe. But I might not.For non-spore
forming aerobes does this occur(sleep) due to oxygen and or nutrient
shortages/excesses only(including water and water activity) or is the
microbes environment(temp, pH , salinity)also involved ? What about
spore formers? and anaerobes and facultatives and obligates? Bio
diversity is apparently very complex. Dennis
