Re: [compost_tea] US Composting Council WASRe: Thermophilic stage of composting
I've not been to a composting council meeting... And I'm in agreement with =
you and Elaine.. too much money and too much politics for a grower like me.=
...
I think most compost in the US is more organic material reduction than what=
our soils would benefit from. I know that's a generalization, but I've see=
n and heard what some "compost" is like, and it's not for us. Most probably=
wouldn't be so great for tea either... The critters need to be in the comp=
ost before making tea....
I just remember you had asked about thermoters a while ago... and another a=
lternative woudl be digital. It reads very fast and I can step off the trac=
tor as I'm truring a row and test themps in several locations. It's proball=
y not in the "low" cost range your looking for at $159, but if you need to =
take a lot to data points, it's a real luxury... Contact George Leidig at =
