I missed the previous post where the abstract was given.
It appears that microbial processing appears to be needed to process the
roots of the brassica, so that the inhibitory compound is released. Time is
required as well.
None of the non-hosts became colonized. All of the host plants became
colonized. So, this says, under this condition, the VAM plants did not push
colonization on the brassica. And vice versa, the VAM plants became established and
were healthy enough to not be affected by brassica inhibition.
Timing effect? Lack of the microbes to turn the glucosinolates into toxic
materials for the VAM?
