These are the recommended amounts of AmQuel per volume of water:

-DOSAGE WITH LIQUID AMQUEL PRODUCTS
The "Standard Dose" of AmQuel is one teaspoon (5 ml) per 10 gallons of
fresh or salt water, or one liquid ounce (30 ml) per 60 gallons of
water, or one cup (8 liquid ounces - 20 ml) per 480 gallons of water.
For other measurements estimate the amounts needed, such as 1/4 teaspoon
for 2.5 gallons of water, or 3 teaspoons for 30 gallons, etc.

It seems that AmQuel is available at PetSmart or where aquarium supplies
are sold. And it's inexpensive at $2.50 for 480 gallons of water!

I read the information here:

Daniel, if what you wrote about Alane's numbers are correct, you just
may have given us a gold mine.

The work with Amquel to remove chloramine is really interesting to me.

When using humic acids to deal with chloramine, you have to use a fair
amount, so you know you have complexed all the chloramine. So, how much
is that? I haven't worked it out, but hte way to do the testing would
be:

ACT with the normal recipe (say 1 cup of humic acid per 5 gal of tea).

Same ACT recipe, but double the humic acid amount.

Same ACT recipe, but triple the humic acid amount.

Do a qualitative test of each recipe, see which one the organisms are
happiest, at the lowest humic acid amount.
