old alfalfa stands

we have an alfalfa test at the mt. res. station in waynesville, nc
(elevation 2600 ft.) which was planted in fall 1989. we grazed it
 in a very controlled manner for 4 years using sheep/cattle/goats.
 the past two years it has been
grazed and/or hayed by staff there depending on their schedule. at
any rate, they are going to plow it out in the next few weeks.

there are 4 reps of 14 varieties in small plots (2.5' x 20). the
following varieties were planted:

cinarron, P-5331; anstar; dk 135; hi-phy; fortress; P-5432; wampr;
 dk 125; southern special; commandor; haymark; DS 718; NKX 87758.

if anyone wants some of these surviving plants, let me know and
perhaps i can send them to you.

I don't need the work so if you don't have a sincere interest in
doing something with these plants, don't ask for them.

let me know what you think about the value in collecting some of the
plants.
