You are 100% correct.  For the last decade, population has been growing
three times as fast as food production.  Right now, we are about at 
food/population equity.  

The next 20 years should see some famines large enough to stabilize 
population in many areas of the world.  We may even drop a half a
billion or so.

That third horseman is a big 'un.  I can't help feeling that aggressive
birth control would have been kinder...
