Re: ENDANGERED AND EXTINCT SPECIES LISTS

jonny:

First off:

You have a point, but if you are going to quote me, quote ALL of what I
said, not just the parts you don't like. Basically, I was saying that
since we are the top ones on this planet, we should treat our world with
more respect than what we have been. I guess if you had read my entire
post you would have seen this. Obviously, you didn't.

Yes, we do need each and every part of the ecosysytem to keep not only
ourselves, but the environment as a whole healthily functioning. If you,
even for a minute, do not think that we as human beings are in charge of
the planet, think about this: who are the ones who messed up the planet
in the first place, and why did they do it? It's a fact of life, we are
the dominant species on this world. I propose we use our strength to work
with this planet, not against it. Again, I am seeing a great deal of
anti-human sentiment on this newsgroup. That's not the solution, that is
fanaticism, and in some cases, terrorism, especially since we are the
ones who can help this world out the most!

BTW, I am majoring in wildlife ecology and preservation, with a
specialization in wolves. I also work on ways to help out the environment
Hopefully, I will be able to pursue my career in the Alaskan outback and
find ways to help protect this magnificient animal, so before you label
me as an "eco-fiend" consider what has just been said.
