'VAMIL' is a Dutch governmental regulation to encourage
environmental-friendly business. Investments with a positive effect on the
environment gain an interest advantage by free writing off. The considered
investments are placed on a list. Every year this VAMIL-list is updated.
This year special interest is taken in means applicable for use in
agriculture. Therefore the Centre for Agriculture and Environment searches
new machines and methods which can possibly be put on the VAMIL-list. The
means or investments have to meet certain requirements, for example they
should not be common practice, but they must be appropriate for use on a
large scale. Also they should have a clear environmental advantage.
If you have any suggestions for new agricultural means for the VAMIL-list
please let us know. You can reach us (Mrs. Gea Bouwman) at PO Box 10015,
3505 AA Utrecht, The Netherlands, by phone +31 30 2441301, by fax +31 30
2441318 of by email clm@clm.nl.
