Just another comment from WA, USA
We feed and butcher about 10 head a year and have built a good
supplemental income largely because of the custum butchering which needs
to satisfy regualations and state conditions, we also butcher outside
stock and game. I takes building a clientle which there doesn't seem much
lack of for good work. With the depressed market of meat on the hoof of
.35-40 cents a pound which is less than it costs to raise stock, custom
butchering gets $1.35lb cut and wrapped. We could get bigger but have
other chores to do. Proximity to market helps.
