Re: GBlist: washer/dryer-in-one



Olivia James asked about combo washer-dryers. Bruce responded with
information on the four below. I believe that all or at least most of
these, along with one sold by Malber U.S.A., Inc. (1999 Grand Avenue,
Baldwin, NY  11510; 516/377-1865), are made by the Italian company
Philco.These are all small machines with condensing dryers. I am not aware
of any full-size combination washer-dryer available in the U.S. The
condensing dryer feature, while flashy, may carry a significant energy
penalty.
