GBlist: GBC '98 technical paper abstract deadline



Dear GBlist readers:

Just a reminder that the submission date for GBC '98 technical paper
abstracts is November 3.  Abstracts should be a maximum of 200 words and
the relevant theme area should be indicated (or we will place in most
appropriate area).  Abstracts can be faxed to the GBC '98 Secretariat at 1
613 996-9909 or e-mailed to me at larsson@greenbuilding.ca.  Technical
paper submissions will be peer-reviewed.

If you don't know what GBC '98 (Green Building Challenge) is all about,
herewith a thumbnail description.  It is both a two-year process and a
conference.  The process involves fourteen countries (including U.S.A.) and
focuses on the development of a second-generation green building
performance assessment system.  Each country will test the system on at
least two buildings (the U.S. team is doing five), and the idea of the
conference (in Vancouver on October 26-18, 1998) is to present and discuss
all the results.
