There have been several proposals. Lets capture them and
ask for additional submissions, then bat it around for
a day or so and maybe next week finalize the mission
statement?

You should also list a set of requirements and
a set of goals for the group -- both of which are
evolving, but posting drafts will get comments
(and flames), but is a start!
