A Thanksgiving morning visit to Santee NWR's Cuddo Unit produced stunning
scope views of one Henslow's Sparrow on the right side of the road (flushed
up and sat about eye level in an oak at the edge of the woods), and up to 4
Le Conte's Sparrows on the left of the wildlife drive in the yellowish grass
and sicklepod field. The Le Conte's again seemed unusually cooperative,
sitting up for 15-30 seconds at a time, uncoerced by flushing.
