Hi folks. The bird life here in WNC has been at a doldrum this "winter".
Saw a few of the "usual suspects" (titmouse and Song Sparrow) on the
feeder this morning. However, I have a query for any Naturalists out
there with a liking for Mammals.
My wife's dog was injured a few weeks ago, on the muzzle, with spines
that the owner said came from a Porcupine. Do they exist in Western
North Carolina? I have never seen one here. Apologies to all on the bird
list, but I would really like to know. Replies should be sent to me
directly, as it is off topic.
