At dusk tonight heard a huge LOUD cacaphony of birds in a small stand of
tall bamboo near some apts. which turned out to be 100's of very
belligerent-sounding robins flying in and out.
What would attract them to bamboo of all things? Why so many and so loud in
such a confined space (about a 25 ft. stretch)? I know robins will roost
communally, but I've never seen so many birds roost this low to the ground,
or this near to a bldg., or this raucously??? (sounded like a scene out of
Hitchcock's old "Birds" film).
