Re: evening grosbeak in Orange Co., NC

We had a customer stop by our Raleigh shop about 2 weeks ago and drop off
some pictures of a female evening grosbeak at his deck bird bath. He
reported that he did not see any males. I hope this a sign of a more
interesting birding winter. I don't remember any Triangle sightings last
winter. The year before, a family in Durham was having a steady 15-20 birds
each morning. I figure that was the area's allotment. Also of note, we may
have a winter HB in Durham. Hope to know better in a bit.
