Still have not seen any grosbeaks this part of
Chatham(near Bynum and the Haw River). But had 5
purple finches on my sunflower Hearts feeder 7 am.(2
males and 3 females) Also saw about a week ago, 2
pileated woodpeckers and a flicker in the top of a
cedar all sort of teetering on the weak branches. I
assume they were eating berries??? Kate
